Mission

The Department’s mission is to encourage, provide, and promote recreational opportunities and facilities for our citizens. The Complex has a total land area of 166 acres.There are five full-time employees consisting of the director, administrative assistant, building supervisor, fields superintendent, and grounds supervisor. There are numerous seasonal part-time employees for the swimming pool and grounds maintenance operations. There is a three-member advisory board that meets monthly to determine recommendations for approval by the City Council.

The complex currently receives ¾% of a 1% sales tax as its primary funding and is currently debt free. Small fees for equipment usage, various classes and the swimming pool are also charged as listed below.

The community center offers two meeting rooms, commercial kitchen, basketball court, racquetball court, fitness room, game room, outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, pavilion, toddler playground, skate-park and recreational vehicle campsites with electricity.
